Artist: Emily Sheehan - Greeninkcap
Size: 400×490
Medium: Pen and Acrylic on Canvas
Available At Closing Auction
"This pool party scene has been created from reference Paul Wallace during his poses at Nudenight.
The initial human outlines were made using continuous line, giving it a loose, messy style. The mediums used were numerous pens, including POSCA paint pens on canvas.
The main theme is colourful imposed chaos, due to no particular focal point therefore leading the eye to look nowhere and everywhere.
If you look closely on the outside edges you can see this canvas was originally a ‘paint with numbers’. This up-cycled canvas was rescued from the streets of Sydney and restored with a lick of gesso. It now stands at The Fitzroydoodler for The Wallace himself. The psychedelic like triangles encapsulate not one, but two Wallaces’ creating the chaotic piece - Pool Party."
